Garlic Teriyaki Ahi Tuna Steaks

Is it bad to want to make this same exact thing for dinner again two nights in a row? I am very strongly contemplating going back to @traderjoes RIGHT NOW & buying more ahi tuna steaks to make AGAIN tonight. Vday #2? Literally I can’t stop thinking about it. Spicy Teriyaki Ahi Tuna steaks are so easy to make but make any occasion more elevated! Truly the marinade was the best I have used & I’ll never look back. Who knew the @bourbonbarrelfoods Spicy Teriyaki I bought on the bourbon trail in @oldforester would make for one of my FAVORITE seafood dishes to be even better? Not I, not I. Cheers to meal repeating (yes, I think I really may) 🥂 it never hurt anyone! *note chocolate hearts in the corner, this was part of Valentine’s Day din :)

ingredients:

2 or appetizer for 4

how to:

  1. add tuna steaks & sauce to a bowl. Marinade at least 30 min

  2. put a sautés pan on the stove at medium/high and add sesame oil

  3. while pan heats, coat top of steaks with sesame seeds. Place in hot pan / oil seeded side down. While it cooks, add sesame seeds to bottom

  4. cook 2 min each side for a perfect sear! If you want medium, cook an additional min per side (3 min) for fully cooked 4 min per side should be perfect!

  5. remove from pan immediately to avoid excess cooking! Drizzle extra sauce over the top & serve with a lemon wedge!
