The Perfect Brunch Bloodys

Growing up, we had some pretty epic Sunday fundays! It was the best quality time we spent with our neighbors, who really were just extended pieces of our family who lived next door or across the street. Sundays started with coffee on my neighbors front porch, then moved into the kitchen at home for brunch, bubbles & bloody mary’s. My mom’s bloody mary mix kicks ASS. Seriously, ask anyone from Cormack Ct (IYKYK), it literally unbeatable. And sadly, she spoiled us all, and set us up for a lot of restaurant bloody mary disappointment. Cheers to Sunday Fundays & may they always be special! && Cheers to Comarck Ct - the best family around!

For The Perfect Bloody Mary

We always made bloody’s in bulk.. So feel free to cut on the amount! But you can always save leftovers in the fridge!

  • 1 64 oz bottle of tomato juice

  • Clamato Juice - about 1/2 cup, small splash (optional!)

  • 1/4 ish (we like a lot!) of ground horseradish

  • Dash of worcestershire sauce

  • A few dashes of Tabasco Hot Sauce

  • 2-3 big shakes of celery salt

  • Juice of 1-2 fresh limes

  • Fresh black pepper

  • Your favorite vodka or mixable

  • Of course, can’t forget the toppings! I go with fresh celery stalks, cubed sharp cheddar & green olives! **A+ if you have blue cheese olives!

The Inside Scoop On This Perfect Set

Not to side track.. but totally to side track because I can’t help myself. Can we address this BEAUTIFUL Stonewall Kitchen Bloody Mary Set? My neighbors from across the street actually sent this to me as an engagement gift. I know this sounds SO corny, but it actually was one of the most meaningful gifts of all! I mean.. how can a bloody mary pitcher, stirrer & cute glasses be emotional? But truthfully, it brought me BACK, to my Sunday element with my favorite people. There was nothing better than a good, old fashioned Cormack Sunday Funday!

Shake It Up

Simply add all of your ingredients to a large pitcher, extra points if you have one as cute as this one! Stir thoroughly, you’ll want to make sure the horseradish all breaks up. TASTE IT! Like more spice? Add Tabasco. Like more Pepper? Add more! Need some more lime, go for it!

After shaken & stirred - serve over ice with vodka or mixable or choice! In our house… we pour our own vodka… Everyone is different :)
