Salami & Provolone Calzonies
LAST DAY OF 2019! NYE is here! But wait, forgot about the app you agreed to bring to tonight’s soirée? Well let’s just say I got your back. Easy, delicious, & honestly (I know we’re all thinking it) works great to soak up some of those booze! You guys have had my back for the last 6 months or so getting up & running - so consider this my small & mighty contribution back for a quick fix for tonight! Give these all time favorites a try, only one day left if 2019 - may as well try something new, RIGHT? Cheers to a happy SAFE, & (hopefully but not likely) not hungover star to 2020! 🥂 AND #thanksmom for making these the best most timeless appetizer I’ve met @kchz69
ingredients:
*this is per crescent roll pack - 1 pack yields ~8 pieces
1 package crescent rolls
8 pieces hard salami
4 pieces sliced provolone
@traderjoes everything but the bagel seasoning
directions:
preheat oven to 350
line baking sheet with parchment paper & roll the crescent rolls as one sheet and push together the slots to make one “crust”
line up salami across the bottom (~8ish pieces) topped with a layer of provolone (~4 pieces)
roll up the crust & top with EVBTB seasoning & roll to pick up the excess
cut into individual pieces & lay on the sheet with the side down- helps keep the cheese inside! They come out like pinwheels!
bake for ~12 minutes or until desired shade on the outside
this could be the NY in me (🤷♀️) but I LOVE a good spicy mustard with these - just do it. Great options are @boarshead_official spicy deli style mustard, @traderjoes honey pale ale, or @conagrabrands Gulden’s spicy brown.
