Creamy Basil Balsamic (V)

Making your own dressing isn’t hard & they are better for you! Saying it louder for the people in the back 🙃 You guys - grab some fresh herbs (usually less than $2 a bundle) & you can work SALAD DRESSING MAGIC with some pantry ingredients & a blender. Take my word for it! Oh & save your jars too. They come in handy ♻️ plus, #recyclereuse ya know? Cheers to working simple magic 🥂

Ingredients & How To:

1/4 cup EVOO (or avocado oil)
1/2 ripe avocado
2-3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 cup fresh basil 🪴
1 tbsp garlic 🧄
Juice of 1 lemon
Squeeze of honey
Lots of sea salt & ground pepper
*pop it all in the blender & you’re set! Keep in the fridge in a jar up to 1 week. Too thick? Add water or extra lemon!

More Than Just Dressing!

Yes, of course this is the perfect salad dressing! Top a protein packed salad; turkey, chicken, tofu, salmon. Marinate veggies for roasting or grilling! Drizzle a top rice or quinoa bowls. The list goes on!

This Particular Salad:

  • Spring Mix

  • 1/2 mini avocado

  • Cherry Tomatoes

  • Red Onion

  • Oven Roasted Turkey

  • Marinated Mushrooms

  • Shaved Parmesan

Eat the rainbow & top it with fresh dressing to avoid all the processed additives and sugar in store bought dressings, condiments & sauces! Sometimes, some fresh herbs & a blender can do wonders!
